Google AdSense extends the opportunity to make your webpage more attractive and blend the ads with the content by enabling you to customize your own ads. These come with a default layout, that is incase you do not specify anything explicit, that theme will be adopted. However, some parts are also optional; missing them can lead to better performance in selected cases. For example, missing the border can merge the ads better into your content.
Parts of the ad
Border: Border clearly defines the boundary of your ads. This can smartly be ignored for better result. Borderless ads merge better into the text or pictorial content. But in many cases, the boundary becomes a necessity.
Background: Background plays a vital role in the look of advertisement. It would be a waste to choose the background of the ad as white if the theme of your page is blue. However, contrast can be a good and attractive technique.
Title: The title of the ad specifies that the ads are provided by Google, and are sponsored links. This can look appealing if you are posting reviews about specific products etc., but in case you’re not you can remove this from your ad block. The color and font can be customized according to the need.
Text: Text in the ads gives a brief description about the ad, at the same time it also eats up a lot of your valuable space. This can be retained or discarded according to your need.
Links (or Hyperlinks): A hyperlink is the essence of your ads. This is the address of the host that will actually help you earn. If your visitor reaches that URL, you will earn. This field shouldn't be considered as optional for obvious reasons.
